For this assignment, I was tasked with recreating a pizza slice logo in Illustrator. I followed a tutorial to create the shape of the pizza and toppings, as well as the textbox. After following this tutorial, I modified the toppings to make the logo my own, as well as changing the font of the text.

When modifying my toppings, I used the pen and fill tools to create mozzarella pieces and basil leaves. I changed the triangular part of the slice to red to emulate red sauce, and used that same red for the text. I chose a font that I thought looked like sauce smeared on a plate. This final pizza slice was supposed to look like margherita pizza, which is my favorite type of pizza. The original logo included olives and mushrooms, which were tricky to recreate because I had some issues with the pen tool. I did eventually figure out the shaping, and applied those skills to creating the basil leaves and mozzarella.
