When completing this project, I was given a template of different typefaces to search for around campus. I went to several buildings in search of different fonts, and noted that most buildings use Helvetica in their signage.

Building 26: Script, big & bold sans, informational

Dexter: Vertical, modern, elegant serif, miscellaneous 1

University Union: Vintage, decorative

Campus Market area: Marquee, neon, script & sans

Other: Hand-lettered, helvetica, miscellaneous 2

I learned a lot about font identification with this assignment. It made me think about the differences between fonts in certain signs, and why they might be used as opposed to another font. I also had to consider the juxtaposition of fonts in specific signs while looking for some of the more specific fonts in the scavenger hunt, such as script & sans or marquee.
